The Role

The Client Engagement Officer will join our Client Engagement Team. The Engagement team is responsible for delivering a transparent and consistent service access process in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Environment.

This role is a permanent full-time position and is based at our Head Office at Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.

Who We Are Looking For?

The Client Engagement Officer we require will have a high level of energy, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children, young people and families to enable them to lead an inclusive life in their community.

You will play a pivotal role in creating excellent customer experiences as people consider, request and purchase supports from Lifestart. This position presents an opportunity to demonstrate your experience in supporting clients and families as they transition to the NDIS. Your ability to understand and assess client needs and effectively communicate the supports Lifestart can offer to meet these identified goals will see you succeed in this role.

To be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated passion, commitment and experience in supporting people with a disability. Important to the role will be your ability to work as an effective team member and to schedule your own work to meet deadlines in a busy environment. Ideally you will have good computer skills and a working knowledge of software relevant to the role. The role will require a person who has excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with and build and maintain positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

What You Need

  • Tertiary qualifications in community services, allied health or related disciplines.
  • Significant experience in the disability sector and a working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • A good understanding of the needs of children and young people aged 0-24 years living with disability.
  • Current drivers licence, own car and willingness to travel.
