Now more than ever, you want to do work that has a positive impact on people and the communities that they live in. We are seeking a business driven, people focused Human Resources Coordinator to join us for the next 12-months on a part-time basis. This role will be in charge but not limited to daily HR functions, including record keeping, contracting, employment screening, compliance, and organising regular dynamic team building activities.

For over 70 years we have been committed to making a difference to our clients no matter which sector of our Community they come from. We continue to provide high quality relationship counselling, dispute resolution and relationship education services. Relationship Matters also provide Employee Assistance Programs, training and workplace consulting.

The role

This is a true Generalist HR role, where no two days will be the same. You will be in charge of all HR services with your ‘can-do’ attitude, HR knowledge and exceptional customer service skills by delivering prompt advice to employee queries. You will promote a high standard of administrative accountability, through your excellent organisational skills to meet clearly defined outcomes and deadlines. This role encompasses all facets of HR with a specific focus on team building development for both permanent and contract employers. You will look after internal recruitment processes, compliance across workplace safety and employee wellbeing and champion adherence to internal HR policies and procedures.

Key requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role, relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) is desired
  • Strong communication and consultation capabilities as well as the ability to establish rapport and credibility with internal stakeholders
  • A people and customer-first approach
  • Passionate and Driven to provide best practice management
  • Adaptable to a fast paced, ever changing/growing environment
  • Attitude - a can-do problem-solving approach to each day
  • Process driven, organised and maintain high attention to detail
