Our National Immigration Support Service (NISS) provides a broad range of support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees who are living in the Australian community while their immigration status is being resolved.
Life Without Barriers is the largest national provider of the Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS), contracted by the Department of Home Affairs. Due to recent growth and extended funding, we are now able to provide our service to more people seeking asylum and refugee status in Australia.
A max-term position is now available with our National Immigration Support Services (NISS) program, for a Transition & Referral Intake Officer based in Sunshine. This role will manage the intake and initial assessment of investigations and complaint matters across the NISS portfolio.
Reporting to the National Policy Advisor, this role will coordinate and manage all referral and transition matters for immigration services under the guidance of the relevant manager. Additionally, the role will provide system administration of relevant internal and external data management systems, participate in systems development and improvement processes, work on and contribute to a number of projects aimed at improving client services, attend and chair meetings with stakeholders, liaise with LWB staff and external agencies and provide administrative support to the business unit and particular managers. 6-month max term contract, with a potential 6-month extension.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
