About the Role
Life Without Barriers has been selected by the Victorian Government to operate a number of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Short Term Accommodation and Assistance Programs (STAA) currently managed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Due to this growth, we are now seeking Senior People, Safety and Culture Advisors based in either our Dandenong or Canterbury offices to provide operational HR advice and support.
Key responsibilities
Partner with regional and local management to achieve their business and leadership objectives by providing support and assistance with HR planning and strategy
Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders on a range of complex and sensitive IR or HR issues
Support issues as they arise relating to complaints, grievances and performance issues
Maintain productive working relationships with external parties, including relevant unions
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
Strong experience as a HR generalist and knowledge of IR and ER
Understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations System, EEO, Safety, Workers Compensation, Injury Management practices and principles as they apply within Victoria
Demonstrated ability to develop business partnerships with all levels and in geographically dispersed locations
Experience working in a fluid and changing environment
A willingness to undertake domestic travel
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
