About the Role

Working in our Out of Home Care team, these challenging but rewarding roles will provide you the opportunity to actively support and mentor children & young people under the care of Life Without Barriers.  

These positions are based in the Coffs Harbour region and are offered on a Part Time, Maximum term contract (until April 2019).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people
• Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people
• Mentoring 
• Maintenance of progress notes and report writing
• Support and encourage the involvement of family

Skills & Experience:

• Diploma of Community Services, Youth Work or similar
• A current First Aid Certificate
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence
• Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) over a 24/7 roster
• Prior knowledge and/or experience working with young people, ideally within the Out of Home Care sector

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
