The Role

We are currently offering a traineeship, open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants to join our People, Safety & Culture team in Adelaide. The position is full time and you will complete the course work whilst being paid on the job.

As our Human Resources Trainee you will receive on-the-job training whilst studying towards your Human Resources Certificate IV. This role will provide support to all the HR functions including Talent & Attraction, Learning and Development, Work, Health and Safety and HR advisory.

Working closely with your workplace coach, your main responsibilities will be to assist with the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administration support to HR functions
  • Posting advertisements on various job boards
  • Screening resumes
  • Coordinating police clearances
  • Undertake data entry, typing, filing, photocopying, scanning as required
  • Assisting with People, Safety & Culture projects

Skills and Experience:

  • Interested in a career in Human Resources
  • Willing to complete a 18 month traineeship and certificate IV in Human Resources
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Confident and professional presentation and phone manner
  • Identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
