About the role

Working in a positive team environment, you will be actively supporting two clients in a 24/7 Supported Accommodation setting. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of people with a Disability, working on fortnightly rotating shift rosters. Permanent contracts start at 40 hours per fortnight with the opportunity to pick up more shifts.

We have two positions available covering the night shifts within the house.  Applicants must be experienced dealing with high needs and challenging behaviour in clients.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Promote and assist Clients to achieve goals identified in Person Centred Plans
  • Support in day to day living, promoting cooking, house keeping, personal care, hygiene, shopping etc.
  • Assist Clients to develop independence and community networks
  • Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping 

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or working towards
  • Significant experience working with people who have a Disability and challenging behaviours
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills with Clients, families and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • A current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • A current unrestricted Driver Licence  

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
