About the Role

Life Without Barriers has been selected by the Victorian Government to operate disability accommodation and respite services, known as Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (STAA) currently managed by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. To ensure the transfer of the services to Life Without Barriers is a smooth and successful experience for participants, staff and families involved, a number of positions are now available in the transfer project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist financial and commercial support for services
  • Accountable for the financial analysis of the business improvement initiatives
  • Advise on the financial implications of management decisions, ensuring decisions and proposed activities are commercially responsible and financially sound
  • Implement and embed systems, processes and procedures into core business activity
  • Support key operational and strategic decisions, ensuring Life Without Barriers' financial stewardship and financial modelling and analysis for new opportunities and current BAU programs & cost structures to drive efficiency and improvements

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
  • Qualified and registered Chartered or Certified Practising Accountant
  • Demonstrated application of strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in a business partnering position at a senior level
  • Experience developing and implementing business plans and strategies within a large organisation
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
