Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure agreements, contracts and arrangements are commercially sound and adequately reflect LWB’s Board mandated risk profile
  • Provide advice on current and proposed commercial arrangements and supply strategies
  • Participate in tenders and bids by providing commercial guidance on proposed transaction structure, transaction documents and commercial, legal and/or insurance impacts
  • Participate in or lead (as required) in commercial negotiations on behalf of LWB
  • Support the implementation of commercial policies and practices, and be responsible for adherence to functional governance requirements
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and liabilities, develop cost-effective means of managing these risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures
  • Implement and embed systems and procedures to effectively manage commercial and risk-related matters
  • Provide Managers and Executive with sound and timely advice, support and reporting, related to commercial issues

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role (contract and commercial management)
  • A high level of commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically
  • Superior communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to be able to influence across all levels in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
  • Excellent written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
