This newly created role can be located in either our Newcastle Head Office or Inner East Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities  

• Define the architecture and technology standards for all applications across the organisation
• Lead the architecture function and future technology direction
• Assess new technologies, languages and platforms and manage their adoption into the broader business
• Provide guidelines for non functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, capacity, reliability
• Engage with business, evaluate business needs, and contribute to the design and development of solutions
• Deeply understand the business domain and how our customers use our products
• Identify inefficient or unsupported business processes that would benefit from applications or systems

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in computer science or similar
• Experience with the AWS platform is highly desirable
• Strong experience working within a devops culture and implementing devops practices
• A broad knowledge of architectural patterns and a deep understanding of the pros and cons and when to apply them
• Database expertise, including more than one of MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Dynamo DB
• Come from a strong development background
• Business analysis and process engineering skills

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
