About This Role

The Plan Manager role is a capacity building support, to implement all services & supports in an NDIS participant’s plan, including informal, mainstream, community, and funded supports. The Plan Manager works creatively and resourcefully with participants in how they utilise their support budgets to achieve their goals.

This entails a high level of customer service, communication, time management, ability to prioritise and ability to manage budgets and deadlines.

  • Support NDIS participants understand their plan and the rules around how it can be spent
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the NDIS and plan management requirements and provide guidance on the Price Guide
  • Engage with NDIS participants, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers and Local Area Coordinators
  • Work collaboratively with participants to assist in their understanding the funds that are available in their plan and provide advice on how to utilise funding to achieve their goals and desired outcomes.
  • Ensure participant plans are implemented as intended - within budget, using a responsive and supportive approach
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of calls, questions, feedback, and enquiries in the CRM system
  • Alert Lifeful clients of potential risks associated with plan spending on services that will exceed a participant’s NDIS plan limit, or paying for supports and services not funded by the NDIS in a participant’s plan
  • Lodge claims and book services on the NDIS Portal, PRODA, on behalf of Lifeful clients and liaise with stakeholders working in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
  • Respond to phone and email enquiries in a professional, friendly, and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of calls, questions, feedback, and enquiries in the CRM system
  • Action assigned tasks within allocated timelines

Required Skills and Attributes

General:

  • Understanding of NDIS Price Guide and Support Catalogue with a minimum of 12 months Plan Management experience.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proficient with technology and experience with Xero, CRMs, PRODA and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with excellent attention to detail and a passion for helping others
  • Demonstrated experience in customer / client relationship management
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with clients, service providers and with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent remuneration - salary range from $55,000 to $65,000

  • Rights to work in Australia.
  • Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards online worker training module.
