What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Group Manager - Finance, you will be a key member of Launch Housing's Corporate Services Team ensuring the success, development and oversight of our Accounts Payable and Procurement team. You will be a change agent driving best procurement practices.

You will manage and will be accountable for the end-to-end accounts payable process, including everything from data entry to payments, validation of data including administration of Launch housing's credit card system.

You will also be responsible for

  • Leading the Accounts Payable team and providing staff development and support
  • Managing and processing invoices, maintaining aged payments ledger, ensuring timely payment, performing reconciliation of accounts payable clearing account
  • Processing staff reimbursements, HEF and other bank account direct payments, client support fund expenditure, post journals, reconcile banking, assist with end of month and end of year processes
  • Responding to and resolving accounts payable enquiries in a timely and effective manner
  • Providing advice and recommendations to management to ensure best practice procurement

What we're looking for

  • Strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high quality services
  • Proven experience in leadership, managing and developing staff and building teams, including motivation, shared purpose and developing a culture of continuous quality improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with demonstrated experience in relationship management and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
