• Part-time Acupuncturist sought at Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre

Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is seeking to employ a part-time woman acupuncturist who has worked with or is interested in working with women from diverse communities in a trauma-informed multidisciplinary team. The position offered is for 14 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working with women with financial disadvantage, multi-cultural and gender diverse backgrounds, First Nations women, women experiencing trauma or with childhood abuse histories. Previous experience in any of these categories will be helpful.

Essential requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Acupuncture qualifications.
• Membership of relevant professional association.
• Own Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• Computer Literacy
• Willingness to work with all women from diverse backgrounds (gender diverse and non-binary persons) and those experiencing financial disadvantage.

Desirable:

• Experience in sensitively working with all women who may be vulnerable and experiencing the effects of trauma including domestic and family violence and historical childhood sexual abuse.

• Experience in working with First Nations Peoples (ATSI), CALD women including refugees and the LGBTQIA+ community.
• Experience working in an NGO and a demonstrated ability to meet key performance indicators.
