About the Role

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Customer Engagement Coordinator to be based in Newcastle on a permanent full time basis.

In this role you will be the point of contact for new customers purchasing services from Life Without Barriers within the Hunter. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, providing information and understanding the customer's service needs. You will define the parameters of any service offerings and establish and finalise the service agreements with the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant legislation
  • Engage with customers to understand customer needs, preferences and expectations
  • Work with relevant staff to scope and establish the Service Agreement prior to service
  • Communicate with customers in relation to any changes or service limitations within required time limits
  • Complete weekly and monthly reports

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications with a minimum of a Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
  • Current driver's licence
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in working with people with a disability and their support networks
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
  • Significant knowledge of relevant community networks and mainstream services
  • Working knowledge of person centred thinking, the principles of the NDIS and the National Disability Service Standards
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or ability to use Databases and Microsoft Office suite of programs, for example Outlook, Word and Excel.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
