The role:

As one of two Production Managers, this full-time permanent opportunity both supports and leads our Production Room and Digital Fulfilment Managers, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed within a structured and safe working environment. This role is responsible for creating and leading the learning & development programs for the manufacturing business, ensuring managers and teams are performing to a high performing level, contributing towards the success of the greater business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the implementation of health and safety measures as required on the production floor and ensuring managers are communicating these with staff.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative and open working relationships with global Lush counterparts and teams to identify best practice to improve productivity and meet global quality standards.
  • Identifying employee development needs within the manufacturing business and ensuring these needs are addressed, through utilising existing training content, creating content or using an external training provider.
  • Developing managers on the people management aspects of running their business, including how to conduct performance appraisals, performance management and effective coaching & feedback.
  • Developing and managing a performance culture throughout the Manufacturing Rooms / Digital Fulfilment and constantly strive for improvements in quality, productivity and engagement.
  • Developing and promoting a feedback culture throughout the Support team and the Production departments.
  • Coaching and monitoring managers to fulfil their targets, lift productivity and meet customer demand.
  • Ensuring staff are adhering to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Maintaining quality standards by ensuring all managers understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and implement GMP within their department.
  • Other responsibilities as needed from time to time - we work as a team

Our Perfect Match:

  • Has 5 years' production leadership experience in a manufacturing business, preferably in the food or cosmetics industries.
  • Have a proven record of excellent people management and people development experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Has strong conflict resolution experience.
  • Able to demonstrate a positive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with different levels of staff and management
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office would be an advantage.
  • Have a strong ethical compass and is passionate about our brand values and beliefs.
