About headspace

Headspace Primary and Headspace Early Psychosis Program in Southport operate under the umbrella of Lives Lived Well aiming to provide youth-friendly, accessible, and effective care and support to young people aged 12 to 25 who require psychological therapy or who are at risk of developing, or are experiencing, their first episode of psychosis.

What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and well-credentialed General Practitioner (VR GP certified), with a passion for alcohol and other drug and mental health to join the relaxed and friendly environment at headspace.

There is the ability in the role to utilise and provide guidance and recommendations with the well-established and professional multi-disciplinary team and a Practice Nurse for assistance.

As an experienced and passionate GP, you will bring:

1. Fellowship of General Practice (VR GP)
2. Membership with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
3. Passion and experience with working alcohol and other drugs and mental health
4. Passion and experience with a diverse and complex population including working with children, youth, and young adults
5. Effective interpersonal skills
6. Demonstrated experience in performing health checks
7. Have professional indemnity insurance.
