We're looking for a new Finance Manager who will be responsible for working with the CEO and Leadership team to develop Koskela's financial strategy. The Finance Manager will analyse everyday financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to the CEO and Leadership team on future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilise your expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning.
Your guidance will empower the company to make informed decisions that align with the organisation’s long-term goals. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial plans that support the company’s growth and profitability. Managing the Finance function, monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, implementing process improvements and capitalising on opportunities will be integral parts of your responsibilities.
The development and implementation of these strategies are designed to drive higher profitability enabling us to achieve our impact goals in relation to reconciliation and sustainability.

Responsibilities
The role is responsible for:
Accounting operations
- Managing the day to day accounting operations, including: managing payroll processing and related reporting;
- Oversight and responsibility of the AP and AR functions, ensuring aging analysis and turnover days is closely monitored;
- Reporting accurate and timely reporting for the Leadership team ensuring statutory accounts are prepared and accurate
- Ensuring that all the balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis;
- Working with the external accountants to ensure R&D claims, and Company Income Tax returns are lodged and accurate;
- Preparation and submission of periodic IAS, BAS, FBT management and monitoring of Koskela's working capital and available cash flow.
Budgets and Forecasts
- Work with the CEO and the Leadership team to ensure budgets and forecasts are accurate and realistic, prepared in a timely manner with monthly updates throughout the year
- Liaising with the Leadership team to reforecast revenues and major opex
Internal Processes and Controls
- Ad hoc integration and finance transformation projects which improve the efficiency and accuracy of the function and respond to new technologies eg AI
- Identify and implement improved policies
- Ensure compliance with legislation and standards Ensure financial systems are adequate and functioning as intended
- Ensure internal processes are efficient and working effectively, and are adapted as the business changes
Qualifications and skills

- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- 5 + years experience managing the Finance function
- Accounting qualification such as CPA, CA or MBA (Finance or accounting)
