The role

We are seeking a Coordinator Children and Youth Services professional to join the Kingston Libraries team. Reporting to the Team Leader Programming and Engagement, your role is to:

  • Plan and implement the children’s and youth suite of programs including school holiday programs, outreach and regular programming 
  • Provide support and management of the YA and children’s print and digital collections
  • Lead the CYS team to build capacity in program development and delivery

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in library programming, focused on youth and young people
  • Strong leadership capability with a proven record in team development and change management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Library Studies

The salary for this position starts at $93,076.47 (Library Band 6) per annum plus superannuation.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Essential : Do you hold a current driver's licence which allows you to drive within Victoria?
  • Essential : Are you willing to undertake a Working with Children Check? Please note, you will need to organise and pay for this if you are successful in progressing to the pre-employment stage of the recruitment process for this position. If you already have a Working with Children Check you will be required to add the City of Kingston as an employer if you are successful for this position.
  • Essential : Do you hold the qualifications required in the position outlined in the position description?
