We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Family Violence Program Worker - Men’s Behaviour Change within our Child, Youth & Family service area. They will be joining our team to be a part of an innovative and trusted community service organisation within one of Australia’s largest welfare networks - Kildonan UnitingCare.

What is the Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP)?

Our Family Violence Intervention Program delivers a number of Men’s Behaviour Change groups working with perpetrators of family violence to take responsibility for their behaviour and prioritise the safety of women and children.

What’s involved in the Family Violence Program Worker role?

This role is designed to provide clinical assessment, counselling and Men’s Behaviour Change group work to clients of Kildonan’s Family Violence Intervention Program. The position will also provide secondary consultation to staff of other Kildonan programs.

We want to hear from you!

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare Studies or equivalent,
  • a Certificate IV in Male Family Violence (or equivalent according to the No to Violence Standards),
  • demonstrated ability to provide clinical assessment of male perpetrators of family violence,
  • experience in providing individual counselling,
  • highly developed consultative skills,
  • strong understanding of either AOD or mental health service delivery,
  • experience and ability to work with a challenging and complex client group,
  • a thorough understanding of the family violence system,
  • the ability to work collaboratively,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
