About the role
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the Commonwealth Home Support program (CHSP) across the Barwon region that delivers a caring and professional service to our clients, whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory groups, both internally and externally. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Implementing the Aged Care Quality Standards in all aspects of service delivery.
- Directly supervise Senior Coordinators, Rostering Administrators, and Administration staff within the CHSP team, including performance reviews, target setting and general problem
solving. Provide leadership, direction and assistance to the wider CHSP team. This includes supervision of staff in off-site locations.
- Recruitment and on boarding of all new members to the team, with support of Senior Coordinators.
- Setting of strategic plan, team targets, annual budget, meeting financial objectives, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Provide mitigation strategies and leadership where targets are not being met.
- Program development to transition face to face programs to occur virtually.
This is a 12 month fixed term position.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a relevant Nursing, Health, Social Work, Welfare or similar tertiary qualification with applicable leadership experience
- Proven track record in leading a team of professionals
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth Home Support Program Guidelines, Charter of Aged Care Rights, and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ability to motivate and support staff, provide guidance and supervision, and identify areas of staffing improvement.
- Ability to create and implement strategies for growth whilst maintaining client satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge in data reporting
- Understanding of the wider Human Services Sector & Aged Care Quality Standard including recent reforms.
- Excellent networking skills
