Jubilee Community Services Incorporated commenced in 1971 with a mission to improve the lives and wellbeing of people in the community of Hurstville. Governed by a volunteer Board Jubilee has grown and now provides aged care services and supports that help seniors remain independent in their homes, community learning opportunities, community groups and multiple child care services. With 7 out of school hours care services, 6 of whom also provide vacation care and one long day care service Jubilee’s child care services strive to be inclusive spaces and provide opportunities for all children to grow, develop friendships and learn.

We are seeking a Coordinator for our Ermington West OOSH and Vacation Care service.

Permanent 35 hours per week during school terms and 38 hours per week during vacation care. We have a 3 week close down over Xmas.

Salary range: $86,800 - $88,500 Includes allowances and is negotiable dependent on qualifications/skills and experience

Qualifications & experience

• Diploma in Children's Services or similar with a minimum of 2 years in a 2IC or leadership role
• Child Protection certificate and child care first aid qualifications
• MR license or above to drive a 25 seat bus or willingness to obtain
• NSW Bus Driver Authority card or willingness to obtain
• Experience managing children with additional needs

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Hold the position of Nominated Supervisor with management of day-to-day operations
2. Oversees the development and implementation of the program in line with My Time Our Place guidelines for BSC/ASC and vacation care
3. Communicates with schools to ensure information is provided and up to date for the service
4. Drives a 25-seat bus to deliver and collect children from Rydalmere East Public School during school terms
5. Ensures the service is compliant with regulations
6. Undertakes administration alongside the development and implementation of the service QIP
7. Oversees rosters for BSC, ASC and vacation care
8. Monitors budget
9. Provides a positive role model for staff
10. Maintains positive communications with parents/guardians and schools

ELIGIBILITY

• Double vaccination per requirement from the Department of Education
• Must be eligible to work in Australia without restrictions
• Will be required to hold a WWCC and for Jubilee to process a National Criminal History check
• Two referees, one must be a professional referee at management level
