The Board of Spectrum is seeking to appoint a new Chair in 2021, following the long and committed tenure of the current Chair. The skills and experience required for the new Chair will be matched against the need for complementarity, diversity, and experience currently on the Board.

The Chair will contribute to the strategic direction and the organisation’s aspirations to grow its reach and impact through new and emerging channels and partnerships. This is opportunity for a values driven leader to contribute to shaping a organisation embracing innovation and change for an inclusive Australia.

Connection with CALD communities, or with lived experience in the communities served by Spectrum, will be highly regarded. Presenting as a contemporary-thinker, with the ability to strike an appropriate balance between risk and organisational impact and high levels of commitment and collaboration, applicants will identify with the Spectrum values of understanding, diversity, client focus, transformation, curiosity, and partnership and be strongly motivated to advocate for the interests of people served by Spectrum.

Board members participate in eleven monthly Board meetings and in addition, all Directors participate in at least one Committee and an annual strategy planning workshop. It is envisaged that the Chair will ideally be inducted before the AGM in November.
