Role Overview

The Partnerships Executive will be responsible for creating and growing the partnership portfolio for JDRF to drive revenue. Partnerships span industries and sectors, including community groups, other not-for-profits, corporates, pharma and device manufacturers and key players within and beyond the T1D system. The Partnerships Executive will be required to identify, manage, cultivate, and nurture relationships that serve to propel JDRF’s mission across Fundraising, Community Programs, Research, Government and Advocacy.

Success in this role relies upon a collaborative, proactive, lateral approach to business development and relationship management, coupled with financial accountability of income and expenditure budgets to meet financial targets and deliver against the key objectives of JDRF’s operational and strategic plans.

Working closely with the wider organisation, you will develop and implement strategies to sustain and grow JDRF’s portfolio of relationships, events, programs, and campaigns across Australia. You will work collaboratively with individuals and teams internally in addition to the volunteer state leadership groups across Australia to deliver on the annual operating plan.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in corporate fundraising, new business cultivation or sales experience and a proven track record of revenue generation
  • Strategic mindset and ability to connect our mission to larger strategic goals and build compelling cases for support
  • Team orientation and strong work ethic are essential for this demanding environment that continually strives for excellence
  • An incredible passion for our mission that invigorates and excites everyone with whom you share it with
  • Experience and proficiency in using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce NPSP
  • Accountable, responsible, and driven individual with sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities who can work autonomously and as a member of a wider team.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and agile with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
