Ironbark Sustainability is a specialist local government consultancy that works with councils around Australia by helping them reduce energy and water usage. Ironbark has been operating since 2005 and brings together decades of technical and financial analysis, maintenance and implementation experience in the areas of energy & water auditing, and public lighting technologies and management.

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified person to take on the role of Project Officer, who will join an experienced, dedicated and skilful team who have a passion for energy efficiency and sustainable asset management.

The successful candidate will be largely responsible for:

  • Managing and conducting field, quality and depot audits (including night audits). We expect the project officer will spend their first 2-3 months in the role familiarising themselves with and conducting different types of audits (training will be provided). They will subsequently take on a coordinating role in this area.
  • Developing weekly progress reports for large scale street lighting projects, which involves data entry and analysis of log sheets of lights, tracking progress, checking for discrepancies etc.
  • Working with and demonstrating a competent knowledge of common software products (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
  • The successful candidate will be required to undertake a one and half day training program on: CPR, risk assessment, safe approach distances for overhead electrical, traffic management.
