About Us

Integricare is a not-for-profit Christian organisation committed to providing high quality family and children's services since 1882 and Auspice our Communities division for over 16 years. An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Family Support professional to take on the role of Family Support Worker for St George Supported Playgroup which is a Department of Communities and Justice initiative.

About the Role

The role is to provide high quality supported playgroups to support parents build their capacity, knowledge and skills. The role is diverse and can encompasses attending appointments, group work (training provided), planning & development of programs and a partnership approach to service delivery, with the focus being facilitating weekly supported playgroups for families. Using evidence-based practice you will support and strengthen family capacity in the local community.

Supported playgroups provide a service that is accessible and inclusive of families from diverse backgrounds, to enhance their connectedness to their community and each other.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and facilitate playgroup sessions for families with s children 0 -5 years.
  • Working from a Family Centred approach.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for families
  • Participate in partnerships projects e.g., Local agencies 
  • Loading client information into the data exchange
  • Develop referral pathways to other services.
  • Provide professional and informed advice to parents/community
  • Facilitator and deliver information to families around emerging needs of the community. 
  • Attending local meetings, via Zoom or onsite 

About You

The successful candidate must possess a Certificate in Community service, with experience or Diploma. Working with the CALD Community, experience within children’s services, a current first aid certificate, and driver’s license. You will have good communication skills and be willing to assist with planning and implementing of programs for children. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility. Computer skills are essential. 

Due to our commitment to the Department of Community and Justice all employees are required to have a;

  • my Gov ID to be able to load data.
  • A working with children check 
  • current driver licence.
