About the Role:
We're looking for In-Home Disability Support Workers to support a female in her late-20's, located in Sunbury. 1:1 and 2:1 support.
Candidates must have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and behavioural disabilities, aggressive behaviours and epilepsy.
The individual requires assistance Monday-Sunday, during the following shifts;
- 8am-6pm
- 9am-3pm
- 5:45pm-8:15am (including inactive sleepover)
Candidates must be reliable, committed and passionate and, have the ability to create supportive and professional working partnerships.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a disability support worker in the community or in-home setting.
- Previous proven experience supporting clients with intellectual disabilities, with slight aggressive behaviours.
- Previous experience assisting and following client daily routines that may include; behaviour management, daily activities, personal care, meal preparation, feeding, medication administration, domestic support, and community access.
- Previous experience working autonomously and within a team environment.
- Previous experience actioning behavioural support plans accordingly.
Position Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Aged Care or Disability or similar.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates.
- Pre-Employment Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Medical Assessment.
- Own car and valid driver’s licence (International driver's licence will not be accepted).
- Smart phone and internet access (Rostering through App).
- Willingness to undergo further training and development, specific to the clients’ care.
