Job Brief
We are seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers for our clients in Pearcedale on casual basis.
Roster: Monday to Sunday
Payrate: $43.93
Shift times
- Monday: 21:00 – 23:00
- Tuesday: 7:00am – 9:30am or 12:00 – 16:00 or 21:00 – 23:00
- Thursday: 21:00 – 23:00
- Friday: 7:00 – 9:30am or 21:00 – 23:00
- Saturday: 7:00 – 9:30 or 21:00 – 23:00
- Sunday: 21:00 – 23:00
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Personal care –bowel care, catheter care.
- 24/7 Care - plenty of long shifts available.
- Transfers – Manual handling/ ceiling hoist
- Domestic – meal prep, medication support
- Transport – support workers drive our client's automatic van.
- Community access – attending events, appointments, shopping, travelling to and from work.
- Communication – assisting clients with negotiating social environment, reporting any concerns.
To be successful in the role and join the Independence Australia Team, you will:
- Hold a certificate IV in Disability or equivalent/higher.Have extensive disability support experience.
- Experience working with Quadriplegic.
- Possess current Police Check, WWCC, First Aid & CPR certificates, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Be able to provide two sector relevant and recent references.
- Hold 3+ COVID-19 vaccination doses.
