The Role:

Behavioural Specialist role exists to provide NDIS funded specialist behavioural interventions (external and to Community Solutions consumers), who need support to gain positive behavioural changes to enhance their quality of life. The role will play a critical part in developing the behavioural service side of the business, through working closely with NDIS participants and Gov. Bodies to maximise opportunities for clients and the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mental Health, Social Work or Psychology and preferably a qualification in positive behaviour support/Applied Behaviour Analysis
• Experience and eligibility to deliver NDIS funded behaviour support at minimum core level
• Proven experience in providing integrated service solutions for individuals
• Experience in undertaking specialist behavioural interventions for people with an intellectual disability and or Autism
• Experience in undertaking specialist behavioural interventions to address harmful or persistent behaviour
• Experience delivering training on behaviour management
• Exposure building networks and relationships with government and non-government bodies
• Negotiation skills, and experience in working within budgets
• Previous experience working with DHHS and/or NDIS individual support will be highly desirable
• A current & valid Driver’s License

• Experience working in a similar capacity in a community based not-for-profit organisation
