Trainer & Assessor - Certificate III in Individual Support - Work from home

We are keen to engage a casual qualified Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015). Delivery method is mainly online through Moodle and Zoom. The role will require you to do work placement assessments and communicate with work placement supervisors. You will be required to provide training and monitor students’ learning and progress through Moodle platform and through regular Zoom sessions as required.

You will assess the students through Moodle platform, role plays and during the work placement. You will be responsible for applying reasonable adjustments as necessary to suit the needs of the students.

The course will have rolling intakes. This will require excellent time management and organisational skills. Please note we are a small private RTO. Head office is located in Armadale, close to Armadale station and High Street trams, however the majority of your work can be done remotely.

Position requirements

To be eligible for this position you must be available to start 19th April 2021 and have the following qualifications and experience:

Mandatory

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or higher
  • Relevant vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered or assessed
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE4116, TAE40110 (including TAELLN411, TAE LLN401A) as per schedule 1 of the VRQA Guidelines for VET providers
  • Relevant and current industry experience, Trainer and Assessor Skills Training Matrix
  • Demonstrated proficiency using systems such as Moodle, Teams and Zoom
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of AQTF, VRQA, Skills First standards and the VET sector
  • Experience in training and assessment

We deliver accredited and pre-accredited training in literacy, numeracy and work readiness to people with intellectual disability and Certificate III in Individual Support to people wishing to enter, reskill or upskill to gain employment in the disability or aged care sectors. We believe that education is the key to growth, socially, developmentally and economically.

Salary

Salary is based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 4 (Pay Point Range 1–4) from $45.78 to $49.25, inclusive of 25 % casual loading. You can reduce your taxable income by accessing generous salary packing benefits, which means more take home pay. Salary will be negotiated for the right candidate.
