With limited government funding, they rely on national business partnerships and community support to deliver essential vision loss services. GDA’s role is to support member organisations across advocacy, brand governance, collaboration and national partnership management.

Impact You Will Have In This Role

The Communications & Marketing Specialist - Partnerships serves as the key liaison for the Partnerships team, delivering both strategic insights and operational support to meet marketing needs that will drive the delivery of sustainable, multi-faceted strategic partnerships.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying communication solutions, including crafting copy for newsletters and digital assets, repurposing existing materials, or engaging external providers. You will also spearhead innovative marketing campaigns to enhance strategic partnerships, develop engaging social media content, and provide comprehensive reports on partnership activations.

This role will keep the team updated on partner needs and relevant media coverage, while also supporting the GDA Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communications to foster collaboration and maximise impact across GDA, state member organisations as well as national partners, particularly with the creation and sharing of national content and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to partnership marketing needs by proposing and implementing effective marketing and communication solutions, both traditional and digital.
  • Initiating and developing marketing concepts to enhance Corporate Partnerships, including social media content that aligns with the strategy and detailed reporting on partnership activations.
  • Leading the creation of bespoke marketing campaigns and content, including newsletters, social media, copywriting, and video materials.
  • Design and delivery of assets utilising design tools such as Canva.
  • Supporting the development of partner pitches and creating brand-compliant, reusable assets.
  • Attending partner meetings to assess needs and provide updates on marketing initiatives.
  • Conducting daily media monitoring and maintaining a communications calendar to optimise impact across the Guide Dogs membership.
  • Facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organisation and across the states by developing and sharing national content and digital tools.

Skills and Experience

  • Strategic Marketing Support: Demonstrated success in providing both strategic and operational marketing support to corporate partners or sales teams
  • Account Management: Proven track record in managing marketing and communications production
  • Pitch Development: Experienced in creating and delivering high-quality marketing pitches and campaigns
  • Results-Oriented: Focused on outcomes, with strong commercial acumen; skilled at overcoming challenges with a solutions mindset
  • Financial Literacy: Knowledgeable in marketing performance metrics, capable of conducting reporting and campaign analysis
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, along with strong presentation abilities
  • Agility: Adaptive and able to take initiative and think creatively
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills to build consensus and implement solutions
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe, and photo/video editing tools
