Established in 1954, IDV is a not for profit community service organisation in the Northern metropolitan region dedicated to delivering support services to people with disabilities.
We support over 150 people with a disability to realise and achieve their goals and aspirations with a strong emphasis on community.
Our objective is to work with our community partners, to deliver sustainable and meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities.
Services we provide include:

Key responsibilities of the Employment Support Officer
Work collaboratively with the Manager and Supervisors to collect and submit documenting evidence related to employment outcomes to be a sustainable and viable social enterprise.
- Mentoring supported employees while understanding and developing individual capabilities that work towards clearly defined outcomes
- Ensure efficient scheduling, planning and resource management is available
- Support the Manager with existing and new business opportunities
About You
You will have a a real drive and passion of working with people and helping them achieve their personal goals
The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria.
- Understanding of the NDIS operating framework and relevant Acts, Regulations, and sector best practice
- Demonstrated competency in supported employment or community-based employment support for people with high and ongoing support needs
- Understanding of goal and objective setting in relation to identified participant needs
- Sound understanding of Employment pathways
- Experience in production/retail management is desirable
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to adapt style to suit audience
- The ability to build relationships with people quickly

Prerequisites
- Current Driver’s License
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Satisfactory Police Check
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster Certificate
- Certificate IV in Disability Services/Community Services or other relevant formal education
