Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) was built to assist and enhance the economic development opportunities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.

About the Role

Leading Business Solutions for Indigenous Australians is a key leadership role within IBA, where you will be responsible for making a meaningful contribution to Indigenous self-sufficiency. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the organisation's direction, and to represent IBA at senior levels with key partners.

The role will provide you with an opportunity to influence key policies and projects within IBA, build strong and influential partnership with the community, and to champion IBA's cultural competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be required to effectively lead a team of geographically dispersed people
  • You will need to engage key partners with influence, including Commonwealth, State & Territory agencies, private companies and Indigenous Organisations
  • You will be tasked with strategic project management, including business development, design and delivery of projects, and contract administration 

Requirements

  • You will demonstrate cultural capability and respect for diversity
  • You will have passion and enthusiasm for making a difference to the economic development of Indigenous Australians
  • You will have proven high-level leadership experience
  • Tertiary qualifications are desirable
  • Position can be located in any capital city with regular interstate travel required
