Your new role:

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services team as an IT Systems Administrator on a full-time ongoing basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Infrastructure, the role will support the day-to-day management of the IBAC IT systems including the operational applications, systems, and networks.

Duties include:

  • Provide 1st to 4th level (advanced and escalated) support and service to all IBAC officers for all IT systems, in accordance with the agreed processes and policies (including after hours on-call technical support).
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently analyse, trouble-shoot and rectify incidents and problems quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute to the research and innovation of technology to enhance IBAC capabilities.
  • Demonstrate effective and clear communication through accurate (written and verbal) recording and reporting of work and technical documentation maintenance and development.
  • Demonstrate high interpersonal skills by professionally and respectfully verbally communicating and negotiating positive and successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrate professional team and organisation work ethic with the ability to professionally and respectfully negotiate positive, successful outcomes, and management of highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate ability to form productive relationships with external IT vendors to maximise collaboration

Our requirements / Your skill set:

  • Qualifications and/or industry certifications or industry experience in Information Technology
  • Demonstrable advanced experience and skills supporting servers (physical/virtual), SAN technologies, Microsoft and Linux platforms, network infrastructure and security appliances (switches and firewalls).
  • Experience in administration of virtualised environments
  • Proven Experience supporting cloud technology like Azure, Office365, MS Intune and/or hybrid environments.

IBAC is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees consistent with IBAC's obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic). Therefore, there is a requirement that all IBAC employees have an up-to-date vaccination status against COVID-19 (three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine) in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

At interview stage you will be required to confirm your current vaccination status. Prior to receiving an offer of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Upon Prior to commencement of employment with IBAC you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status (three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine).

Acceptable evidence includes:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
  • Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
