Hume City Council has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated person wishing to pursue a career in local government to work in the area of social policy and planning. This full-time position is located in Council's Population Health and Social Policy Team.
The position will contribute towards achieving Council's vision of social justice, community health, and wellbeing, life long learning and social inclusion. The role will involve social research and data analysis, service planning, policy development, and community engagement.
Experience in working across a broad range of social justice matters such as gambling, liquor, social and affordable housing, and social inclusion and community wellbeing is deemed highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a cooperative planning environment, working with both internal and external stakeholders to support Council's planning for existing and new communities and support the development of social policy and planning activities.
You will work within a team of enthusiastic planning professionals, which will provide you with a number of learning and skill enhancement opportunities as you work and lead across projects, teams and Departments in a collaborative manner.
