Hume City Council is recruiting to Two Senior Leadership positions that will support and deliver a range of services that contribute to the outcomes within the Family, Youth and Children's Services Department. The Department sits within the Community Services Division and encompasses a life stage approach from 0-24 years - understanding that children, young people and their families cycle through a range of critical stages in their journey from birth to adulthood.
The Coordinator of Inclusion and Service Planning and Coordinator of Early Years Operations sit alongside Coordinator of Youth Engagement and Pathways and together will formulate the Senior Leadership team - reporting to the Manager Family Youth and Children's Services.
These key positions recognise the critical role that families have in their child's development and learning and wellbeing, understanding the importance of working together on common goals. They identify the family as a primary influence and aim to build capacity, create awareness and respond to evolving needs.
Each position works with and around community, key stakeholders and funding bodies to design and provide evidenced based initiatives to support active engagement, leading to resilient children, young people and families who feel empowered to navigate pathways independently.
We are looking for experienced leaders that have focus on continuous improvement and practice that strive for quality outcomes. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage large teams of skilled professionals, have a strong knowledge of policy relating to early childhood and be able to identify innovative initiatives to ensure Council can support its growing and diverse community.
