Senior Behavioural Science Advisor

Humanitarian Advisory Group
  • Work within a research team to lead the integration of behavioural insights into our research and client projects from behavioural research design, through to strategy and intervention development and testing. On a practical level this includes supporting a strategic behavioural science approach to addressing challenging research questions (suggesting models or ways of thinking); review and support to research methodology and tool development; support and input into data analysis and interpretation bringing a behavioural science lens; supporting report write up and presentation of findings from reviews, evaluations, or research processes.
  • Apply behavioural insights to some of the thorny questions in our sector for example, the vaccination role out in Pacific countries; researching the impact of the Myanmar coup on national and local humanitarian actors; or understanding ways in which the humanitarian sector can reduce their environmental impact.

  • Ability to leverage Behavioural Science from the academic literature to help us gain both a deeper understanding of the behaviours we research and evaluate, as well as how best to drive positive behaviour change.

  • Maintain deep familiarity with academic literature and emerging findings from Behavioural Science.
  • Embed behavioural insights throughout the various work streams, focusing on continuous skill development to enable day to day application.
