Homelessness NSW

Homelessness NSW is the peak body for the homelessness in NSW. We exist to build the capability of people and the capacity of systems to end homelessness. We have a vision for a future where there is enough quality and safe housing and support services to ensure no one is homeless in NSW. We work with our members and broad network of partners to understand drivers of homelessness, advocate for solutions, build skills and knowledge, and scale innovation.

About the role

This role will help Homelessness NSW to build a movement to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring by communicating effectively across a range of member and public channels

Key Duties:

  • Plan and coordinate member events including, but not limited to, online and offline network forums, conferences, networking events and webinars.
  • Plan and coordinate high quality content production and distribution of member email alerts, presentations, and newsletters.
  • Plan and deliver social media output.
  • Manage membership marketing and engagement in partnership with the broader team.
  • Manage production and uploading of content to the website in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Manage CRM.

What you need to succeed (Selection Criteria)

We are looking for a creative individual who has a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or similar, or community development with relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination and management, including managing face to face and online events.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service, member, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for social media engagement in either a professional or personal capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write clearly for a wide range of audiences and channels.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Intermediate graphic design capability.
  • Ability to work individually, successfully as part of a team and effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and commitment to work with First Nations people in a culturally respectful way.
