The goal of Email Marketing Specialist is to connect with over 50,000 registered Hireup users across Australia to increase their understanding of the Hireup brand, platform and purpose whilst elevating user satisfaction, engagement and company growth. This person will work cross-functionally across the business to assess email requirements from team leads, with the view to build out, manage and own the email marketing function - getting more specific with the creative, messaging and purpose of each email. You will also build out email as part of the greater customer contact strategy at Hireup, unearthing the best way for our voice, email, text, and messenger channels to work together to best support our community’s needs.

The big picture

  • Build, own and manage an effective email marketing strategy from scratch, keeping an eye on future integration and expansion into text, messenger, direct mail, and voice

Priorities – the work

  • Build relationships with teams cross-functionally to assess company wide email requirements and objectives whilst building a scalable email function that Hireup users love!
  • Work closely with the senior marketing manager, brand experience manager and content producers to develop clear, concise and creative messaging and calls to action based on specific email objectives whilst communicating the brand story
  • Work with the marketing, product, tech, growth, service and data team to develop a sophisticated customer communication strategy including voice, messenger, text, and email
  • Manage and maintain email processes and systems on a day-to-day basis, ensuring to keep automation, clarity and consistent user journeys front of mind
  • Set up and monitor email analytics to capture insights that inform clear and actionable changes

Skills – the person

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a specialist email marketing role or similar
  • Ability to build out and execute a highly effective email strategy from scratch
  • Ability to build great relationships internally and work with an agile-mindset
  • Ability to identify opportunities and educate the wider organisation on the value a high-performing email function can bring to a hyper-growth business
  • Experience pulling emails lists and segmenting databases
  • Experience with Customer.io, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Hubspot will be highly regarded
  • Familiarity with complex user journeys and touch point strategies
  • Experience project managing the creative output needs of email with the support of content and marketing teams
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and managing competing priorities
  • Strong connection to, or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community

The position is full-time and the salary will be dependent on experience.
