Your role - Behaviour Support Coordinator

Part of the Complex Support Team, the Behaviour Support Coordinator works closely with Hireup clients with behaviour support and restrictive practice requirements to ensure they are able to get the most out of the Hireup platform. The Behaviour Support Coordinator provides guidance and direction to Hireup Support Workers on safe and quality support. The coordinator delights in their approach to support, being the point of contact and support for the client and their informal support. They listen and problem solve, ensuring smooth consistent support is provided.

You will:

  • Manage a caseload of Hireup clients with Behaviour Support and Restrictive practice requirements to ensure they receive the best possible experience using Hireup
  • Work closely with the client and their support networks in a holistic way
  • Review positive support plans and communicate with users in regards to requirements
  • Engage with Hireup Support workers to ensure they’re skilled and trained to provide best practice support
  • Assist our Behaviour Support Lead and Behaviour Support Advisor in compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Submitting and updating relevant behaviour support information into relevant online portals to meet State and Federal requirements
  • Monitor usage and approval periods of restrictive practice within individuals plans
  • Liaise with our incident management team regarding behaviour related incidents and notifications of authorised and unauthorised restrictive practices

Your Background

  • 5+ years in the disability sector, specifically behaviour support
  • Experience with direct disability support work
  • Experience in reading and analysing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Experience in managing a high volume caseload, with quality support provided to each case
  • Passion for bringing the best out of people through a positive approach to behaviour support
  • Desire to work closely with the client and their support network to ensure the best outcomes for the individual
  • Possess incredible emotional intelligence and a sense of clarity that is driven by good intuition and high EQ.
