the opportunity

The Health Issues Centre (HIC) is Victoria’s recognised peak consumer health advocacy body. We are registered as a charity and have been operating for over 35 years.

We work on a combination of commissioned projects and campaigns that we have identified as significant health and wellbeing priorities for all Australians. We champion the voices of everyday people in all aspects of our healthcare system and represent the millions of Victorians receiving healthcare.

We are seeking a digital communications specialist to produce and repurpose a range of communication materials for a variety of audiences.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Advocacy, you will be an important part of our Comms team and work on a range of communications activity across the organisation, including generating and repurposing content for all HIC communication platforms (e.g. newsletters, website and social media platforms), managing the HIC communications schedule, helping support our long-COVID peer-support network, and supporting the work of HIC more broadly.

You will be expected to be familiar with or able to quickly familiarise yourself with a range of web-based applications and tools including Wordpress, Wix, email marketing software/CRM, graphic design (e.g. Canva), and Social Media Management tools.
