Headstart Acquired Brain Injury Services supports people with an Acquired Brain Injury to increase their community involvement and life skills and to engage more with the general community. We provide supports for people to pursue leisure or social interests and increase their opportunities to maximise independent living in the home and community.
We have a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to enrich our team reporting to the Finance Manager whilst also working closely with the senior leadership team. This role would suit a dedicated finance professional who enjoys a challenge and being part of a dynamic team where no two days are the same.
You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the financial accounts, systems and service delivery for Headstart ABI Services whilst also ensuring these and acquittal processes are in accordance with industry accounting standards and delivered within required deadlines.
Actively involved in audits and the ability to assist in all aspects of financial administration including accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxation principles and complex reconciliations you will provide timely, accurate and reliable financial information and updates to the Finance Manager.
Your primary strength is your accounting skills with previous experience in general ledger and processing end to end payroll. Showing confidence in database management and experienced using integrated Human Resource systems. You ideally will understand the National Disability Insurance Scheme and have a working knowledge of NDIS Portal procedures.
In addition to your financial experience in a professional services industry or related field, you have excellent and succinct communication, time management and relationship skills whilst demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Your ability to prioritise your workflow to meet required deadlines is paramount.
A formal qualification in Bookkeeping/Accounting, Business or Administration is preferred and your intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be well utilised.
Possessing a current Provide First Aid certificate, NSW driver’s license (and willingness to drive a service vehicle when required), cleared Working With Children Check and commitment to obtain a cleared NDIS Worker Screening check. You will need to provide proof of your Right to Work in Australia and be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and have received the booster shot if eligible or signed current medical contraindication certificate from a medical practitioner.
