Who is Heads Together

Heads Together for ABI is a Victorian non-profit organisation which provides an ongoing community that connects and supports the intersectional needs of young people and families impacted by acquired brain injury. We power lived experience and drive positive change through our unique, collaborative model which brings together people with lived and professional experience of brain injury. We learn from each other and create a shared understanding and commitment on how to build better lives for young people with brain injuries.

Our innovative, peer driven programs target the specific needs of young adults, families, parents, teens and kids to build friendships, support networks and the skills and confidence needed to navigate the complex pathway of rehabilitation, recovery and life. The young adult programs have been developed in consultation with our community and specifically targeted to meet the needs of young adults who have acquired a brain injury by the age of 25 who are looking for meaningful opportunities to build their strengths, skills and social networks.
