Your new organisation
This NT based not-for-profit organisation provides important support to those who care for others. They are now looking to appoint an NDIS Services Manager in Darwin on a permanent, full-time capacity for an initial one-year contract.
Your new role
As the NDIS Services Manager your role will be to position the organisation to emerge as the sustainable, preferred NDIS Service Provider of quality services. You will ensure professional standards; legislative requirements and the organisation mission, values and objectives are met across all programs in accordance with the strategic plan.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership to the organisation in regards to implementation and transition into the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
- Lead, participate in and coordinate a range of activities to prepare our workforce and systems to deliver supports and services.
- Ensure services are of a high standard and comply with standards of quality practice
- Ensure that all reporting mechanisms are completed with due diligence
- Manage, develop and lead day-to-day service provision and providing leadership in all aspects of the operation of service regarding the NDIS
- Manage a team who will be responsible for the NDIS deliverables, education, appeals, reviews and advocacy.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you’ll have:
- A degree in Community Services or a related discipline
- Experience in service development including designing, creating and implementing new systems and procedures to ensure timely, efficient and quality services that meet the requirements of the NDIA and ensure appropriate interface with the NDIS/NDIA
- Demonstrated understanding of issues relating to the provision of disability services including knowledge and experience in the marketing of a developing and expanding business
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with a broad range of internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Drivers Licence, Ochre Card, Police Clearance and First Aid or willing to apply/complete.
- Ability to periodically travel
