About the Role

Leading a small team of supported employees, the Team Leader – Recycling will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the recycling plant and ensuring that the operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract and Customer specifications.

  • Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the production line of recyclable items ensuring items are sorted in line with contract specifications
  • Assist with the overall management of the waste site operations, plan work and efficiently organise the recycling plant in order to meet agreed timeframes
  • Supervise and assist supported employees with ongoing training, mentoring and support in their roles
  • Ensure correct and safe storage of materials, equipment and chemicals
  • Uphold a high level of customer service at all times
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition
  • Apply workplace health and safety guidelines and procedures as per legislation
  • Responsible for the overall safety and wellbeing of all who attend the site

Full training will be provided to applicants who can demonstrate their ability to work as part of a cohesive and supportive team, and have a true desire to transition to this type of work.
