We are seeking a dynamic leader to undertake the role of General Manager, Summerland House Farm. The General Manager will lead and grow our Businesses (including Macadamia/Avocado orchards, Fruit Packing, Macadamia Dehusking, Hydroponics, Nursery, Café and Lismore Recycling) to achieve profitability and sustainable employment experiences for people with disability.

Total remuneration package inclusive of superannuation will be negotiated up to $120k per annum, with salary packaging options and potential for performance bonuses.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A commitment and example to the ethos and values of HWNS
• Successful track record in business management at a senior level with proven financial management and business analysis. This is likely to be in either the hospitality/retail or horticulture sector
• Business acumen and a demonstrated record in customer relationship management and sales generation
• A combination of strategic, tactical and operational skills to achieve both social and financial objectives
• Demonstrated capacity to build and develop a successful team in a complex, multi-site environment, across different industries
• Demonstrated capability in identifying business opportunities and realising them through effective project planning and management
• Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the businesses operate (including legislation, standards and best practice)
• An understanding of disability services, and the needs of people with disabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills – relationship management, influencing and tenacity to implement change
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office; financial software and capacity to identify and adopt new technologies to support business improvement
