The role of Area Manager would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and who is committed to working within a values-based framework to improve the lives of people with a disability. Area Managers are responsible for a portfolio of services which include Supported Living, Individual Support, and Children’s Services. • Passion for supporting the human rights of people with a disability and a focus on quality outcomes
• A relevant tertiary qualification in disability/community services or related field.
• A minimum of 7 years working in disability services, including time in a management or supervisory role
• Comprehensive knowledge of person-centred principles and approaches
• Strong financial acumen (funding agreements, P&L’s, budgets, multiple cost centres)
• Ability to proactively support, manage and develop individuals and teams
• Highly developed communication skills; written and verbal
• Management reporting capability including data analysis and benchmarking
• Capacity to implement change and identify opportunities for innovation
• Strong administrative skills; organise and prioritise workload, handle multiple tasks and work efficiently and effectively to deadlines and respond to multiple and diverse stakeholders
• A current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to travel intra or interstate from time to time
