The Sustainability Consultant will work across the 3 streams, applying technical skills and analytical frameworks to support the Sustainability team to provide design-led advice and to drive effective and ambitious integration of environmental, social and economic sustainability in the built environment.
MUST HAVES
- Deep alignment with our values and an active interest in design and sustainability is essential for any of our people
- A relevant qualification in Engineering, Sustainable Design or a related discipline is essential
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a comparable role involving delivery of sustainability and/or engineering consultancy services
- Experience project managing small scale projects with support from more senior team members
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of subjects such as circular economy (including LCA), urban development, ESD policy and assessment and / or climate adaptation
- Strong software capability such as InDesign, Microsoft Office and project management software with an ability to learn new applications quickly
- Industry accreditations / experience using frameworks and tools such as Green Star, Passivhaus, OPL, SDGs, eTool or similar
- Great written and verbal communication skills and developing a strong capacity to understand and work effectively within the commercial parameters of project delivery
- Ability to think logically, analyse and assess opportunities and risks and identify solutions and outcomes
- Excellent time management skills and a collaborative approach to work
