About the Role

We are seeking a Land and Restoration Lead to facilitate urban greening partnerships in Dharug Country.

This role represents an outstanding opportunity to join Greening Australia focusing on Australia’s greatest environmental challenges. You will play a key part in developing and maintaining land partnerships to effectively bring urban greening projects to life.

Key Activities

  • Apply experience in land transactions, land management and/ or urban planning to identify and pursue opportunities for nature-based solutions.
  • Engage with landholders, providing negotiation, advice, and financial input.
  • Establish and nurture regional partnerships aligned with the national strategic plan.
  • Work with the management team to develop funding proposals for government, philanthropic foundations, corporate entities and individual donors.
  • Represent Greening Australia at project meetings, events and public presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive team culture.
  • Support cost and risk management, financial planning, and project scheduling.

About You

The Essentials:

  • Interest in the environment and/or conservation.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and associated activities including developing tailored proposals, pitches and presentations.
  • Demonstrated abilities to develop strong relationships with stakeholders and close deals.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and projects, demonstrating the capability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Exemplary communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and persistence to see projects and tasks through to completion.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with internal and external stakeholders from a board range of specialisations/background.
  • Experience using a CRM database and managing a pipeline of relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The Nice to Haves:

  • Qualification in environmental management, landscape design, science or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing landholder agreements and commercial negotiations with landholders.
  • Experience in GIS mapping and analysis.
  • Experience with large-scale environmental project development.
  • Knowledge of Urban Greening techniques/methodologies.
