Good Neighbours is an international development NGO Founded in 1991 for the purpose of reducing poverty in the most disadvantaged communities. Good Neighbours implements projects to protect child rights, strengthen global partnerships, and advocate for the rights of the most vulnerable across the globe.

The Good Neighbours Australia office launched in 2018 under the auspices of the Good Neighbours’ partnership. Good Neighbours Australia currently implements domestic and overseas programs. We are registered with ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission) and have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our mission in Australia, in supporting children, communities both domestically and internationally through partnering with culturally and linguistically diverse churches and their communities. We are currently in partnership with Good Neighbours Vietnam which offers support to disadvantaged children and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

We are looking for someone who has excellent skills and deep experience in building new working relationships with individuals and groups, ability to identify new partnership opportunities and generate leads within the local church context and/or philanthropic fundraising landscape with a focus on Vietnamese communities.

Additionally, you will be responsible to ensure the effectiveness of various activities designed to support our Campaign Manager in order to maximise Good Neighbours Australia's profile, influence and impact within New South Wales.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, including the ability to network with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
  • Exemplary communication skills, including persuasive negotiating and public speaking abilities
  • In depth knowledge and networks within the local church/CALD community context and/or philanthropic fundraising landscape.
  • A heart for culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • Be willing to embrace a flexible work schedule which may include weekends and evenings
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic circumstances quickly and respond with energy.
  • Vietnamese language skill required
  • Qualifications in Ministry, Sales, Marketing and/or communications (Highly Desirable)
