GetUp is the home of smart, moving and biting political design. We are looking for a creative graphic designer to join the team and help us pack a visual punch.

• SCHADS classification Level 3 - 5 salary range is $61,390.16 - $78,659.88 per annum (pro-rata) + superannuation, determined by relevant experience and qualifications.
• This is a full time contract position based in Sydney.
• Start date is 4 March 2019. Finish: After the election – likely 31 May 2019

We’re currently scaling up to fight our biggest election campaign yet. We want to unseat the worst members of the conservative hard right faction of the Government and put climate justice, refugees and economic fairness firmly on the political agenda.

If you want to help design impactful billboards; conceptualise jamming of political collateral; figure out how to simply convey super dense material; or punch out the finest political social media in the country – then this job’s for you.

This is an opportunity to spend three months of your life helping create a better, more progressive Australia, through compelling, persuasive and engaging design.

You will be someone who is:

• Passionate about creating change on progressive issues;
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign;
• Able to visualise and design graphic solutions for complex policy ideas;
• A team player who’s happy working with a lot of people in any given day;
• Able to work autonomously on a range of varied tasks and projects.

Bonus points for:

• Excellent writing skills;
• Animation and After Effects skills;
• Professional communications or political experience;
• Basic HTML and coding skills;
• Experience managing a business or organisation’s social media accounts.
